Chris McCandless like everyone, has people that can be compared to himself in some ways more than others. Chris' father for example is actually resembled pretty close to Chris in that they were both acknowledged as pretty smart kids growing up and through there teen years. They both also excelled in everything they did. Chris seemed to do everything well but there was always that one small thing that if he would work on he would be perfect at but chooses not too. Mostly because he hates being told what to do. Another character that i realized shared some likes and dislikes Chris had, was Billie's dad. Billies dad like Chris loved nature, and killed animals to survive but hated so because the didn't believe it was the right thing to do. One character that i found to be most like Chris was the author himself, with plenty of similarities, he could be described as Chris's mirror brother. They both enjoy being in the wild, both love to take adventures into nature, both have climbed mountains, and both didn't really do what they were told when they were young. The author's dad was one that set a goal for his sons and daughters to graduate at the top of the class and only go to the best colledges though the author didn't follow any of his dad's plans and soon got away from him.
